Week 20: 1/18/10-1/22/10

This week we are reading 1 Samuel 16-17.  During these two chapters, we learn about the annointing of David and how he faces, and ultimately defeats, Goliath. 

Tuesday: 1/19/10:

• Read 1 Samuel 16.
• Discuss how God chose the youngest of the sons to bring about his plan. 

Wednesday: 1/20/10:

• Brainstorm ways you can make a difference in our family, our community and our world.

Thursday: 1/21/10:

• Read 1 Samuel 17.
• Discuss the "weapon" chosen by David to defeat Goliath.  FYI: He was armed with more than just a slingshot and a few stones.

Friday: 1/22/10:

• Say Bible verse for a treat. 
• What "Goliaths" are you facing?  How can your faith in God help you overcome these giants?
