Week 14: 11/16/09-11/20/09

It's time to celebrate Thanksgiving!  All week we will focus on thankfulness and study the life and times of the Pilgrms and Indians.  In a time where everything is at our fingertips, it is too easy to take for granted the many blessings we have.  Let's stop this week to think of others and to be greatful for all we have.

Bible Verse: Psalm 100

A Psalm for Thanksgiving.

    ^1(A)Shout joyfully to the LORD, all the earth.
    ^2(B)Serve the LORD with gladness;
         ^(C)Come before Him with joyful singing.
    ³Know that ^(D)the LORD Himself is God;
         It is He who has ^(E)made us, and ^[a]not we ourselves;
         We are ^(F)His people and the sheep of His pasture.
    ⁴Enter His gates ^(G)with thanksgiving
         And His courts with praise
         Give thanks to Him, ^(H)bless His name.
    ⁵For ^(I)the LORD is good;
         ^(J)His lovingkindness is everlasting
         And His ^(K)faithfulness to all generations.

Monday:  Study Bible verse by creating a banner of Psalm 100.

Tuesday: Study Bible verse and create thankful turkeys

Wednesday: Study Bible verse and create a wordle highlighting all of the things you are thankful for and list the gifts you have been given.

Thursday: Study Bible verse and reflect on the life and times of the Pilgrims.  What difficulties did they face?  How did their face sustain them during these hard times?

Friday: Recite Psalm 100 for a treat.
