Donations for Tornado Victims
Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at 2:55PM
As many of you may know by the shouts of "Roll Tide" emanating from our house, we are avid Bama fans! However, Tuscaloosa is more than just football to us, it is home! Last week, dangerous tornados ripped through our hometowns of Birmingham and Tuscaloosa, as well as, our family living in smaller towns around the metro areas. Many of you have seen the devastating images on the news. To be honest, I feel a bit helpless down here in Hammond, Louisiana. Quite simply, I want to help. There are many ways to volunteer and/or donate:- Drop off supplies if you live close
- Send a monetary donation via Red Cross or United Way
- Purchase books via the Usborne Books efair
- (Note: This is a great way to purchase books for homeschooling or your classroom while contributing towards the relief efforts.)
- Spread the word
- Offer prayers for those in need
Please consider reaching out to these communities. No action is too small! My family has been amazed at the outpouring of support from all over the country. I appreciate all that has been done and thank you in advance for your help.
